Google Gears is the latest creation from Google, but this product didn't go through the Google Labs as other famous Google products have before it (ie Google Docs, Google Maps, Google Desktop, and more. It seems Google has been working on this concept for some time and there has been a lot of rumors about Google entering Microsoft's arena: Software Applications. Google's approach is rather unique because they first built great online applications and now they are making them available offline.
