As of now emergency departments are still struggling to track cell phone calls so text messages are the next step. The question remains, why 911 text messages? To be honest, it leaves me wondering. If you're in a real life emergency, can you imagine sending an emergency text message about the situation? A Lightning bolt is an electric current which emits radio waves; the proposed system will detect these waves and process it on a cell phone application that will give information if the lightning strikes are nearing.
