Pass me the RAZR honey! It’s not exactly that which often men and women across the globe resort to as a response to antenna like hair follicles. Yet surprisingly it holds a very similar affect as the glamour of vogue of the cell phone fashion trend. Granted, it’s not off the Nokia fashion line, but in the end its reception has been quite large and grand in comparison to the whole mobile handset gamut and high among the public wish list. What makes this phone so attractive? A brief overview follows.

Our careful reading of the phone’s success has been its quite unique, never done before, razor like ergonomic design, hence, the brand identifier as the RAZR. Motorola, a pioneer in the cell phone manufacturing industry, hit the genius bulb with the conception and eventual introduction of this handset in 2004. Ever since, the phone has gone through the initial affluent price tag to the mass market and has been resurrected in various colors due to it’s already dominatrix position amongst co-phones.

Such was the success of the RAZR that in late 2005 Motorola and Dolce & Gabbana, a major fashion label, produced a limited line of Gold RAZR V3i handsets, with obvious technological improvements and snob appeal. These sold out in a very short amount of time.

The RAZR’s initial release with the V3 line had many detractors, like all things successful, but nevertheless its distinct lure held strong. With new improvements in the design and functionality of this handset, its still holds firm in the hearts of many enthusiasts and loyal fans.

The phone has definitely made its mark in the history of the mobile phone market, not only influencing mobile phone fad, but using its successful figure as inspiration for other phone models in its class, currently and in the near future.
