iPhone in China
The iPhone released already? Yes! Where? In China. Is this for real? Well not really, this iPhone is a copy. You can view of the photos of this product at the (Phonedaily). It is being produced by CECT Schofield in the "Motherland of Technology". From the source it states that the copy is about 80% similar to the actual iPhone in both appearance and software. Now it finally makes sense why Apple likes to announce a big releases the day before it is actually released. Unfortunately Apple had to announce the iPhone ahead of its actual release in June 2007 because of United States regulations. This news bit really brings into perspective the mass competitiveness in manufacturing especially for highly demanded products. Now lets gone on eBay to bid on these copies.

Just saw it for myself at the Cybermart in Shanghai this afternoon. Sells for RMB5500 and has a Chinese UI! Of course you won't want to update to 1.1 or you will brick it, but it worked great in the 10 or so minutes I played with it. They are selling like hotcakes.
