- WiFi
Uses GSM Quad-band, Cingular's EDGE, and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR (Enhanced Data
Rate)
- Advanced Sensors
Try to trick this phone don't be shy.
Now we know what it has but what is a good for...
Pros
- Advanced controls. The touchscreen blew me away, it's a
great concept to break away from the standard buttons on cell phones. No more
buying "physical" face plates or keypads. No more hassles with changing them
either, most likely iPhone will offer the ability to purchase different visual
screens. And the underground clans on the web will definitely make those
available for free!
- Visual Voicemail. Truly, the greatest things are the
simplest things. I can't count how many hours I've wasted waiting for a voice
mail to finish to go the one I actually want. Why didn't anyone think of this
before? Thank you Apple.
- WiFi. iPhone is completely tweaked out to for Wireless
networks using quad-band GSM and Bluetooth 2.0, who needs 3G?
Cons
- No 3G. For some this might come as a great disappointment
as so much content is built around 3G. Will the white collar worker be able to
adapt so easily? This isn't a Smartphone compared to the contemporary standards
but has surpassed that level (?)
- No expandable memory. The ultimate disadvantage to any
user of a gadget and advantage to a company is getting more orders. Is 4Gb and
8Gb enough? No! When will we see expandable memory capabilities on such devices,
Your guess is as good as ours. Please send your complaints to the respective
corporation.
- No removable battery. Ah, once again stuck to your
desktop, laptop, or outlet.
- Price. 4GB for $499 and 8GB for $599 with a 2yr contract
and no ability to expand the memory. Yeah there is a problem here.
