Cell Phones at Places of Worship Nothing is wrong with technology when it is applied correctly, but once you take it out of its context, things can get pretty ugly. For some individuals cell phones might be a new addition to their life so they are learning how to use it. Always try to give people the benefit of doubt. This message is for all wireless worshipers on proper cell phone etiquette at places of worship.

What's the concern? Why is there an outcry by members of various spiritual congregations? Well for obvious reasons, which people overlook. Tranquility. Majority of the time people go to places of worship to pray which probably requires concentration of some sort, unless of course, you're luciferian (no hard feelings). A simple noise or vibration can throw anyone off their focus so Duh, cell phones vibrate and make all sorts of noises.

One of my friends told me story where at prayer night at his local mosque during a prayer congregation in one of their holiest months, Ramadan. The Imam (prayer leader) emphatically asked the congregation to turn off their cell phones, Mp3 players and everything else that takes away from the prayer experience. Apparently, this was a major problem at the time where their prayer area was constantly plagued with disturbing ring tones and loud vibrations. During their prayer service, inevitably, a phone went off. "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...." I wonder what happened to that guy after?!

Turn off your Cell Phone!
There is no better person to talk to than God. God doesn't use cell phone towers. It's direct connection.

Use ringtones you won't regret
To protect you status with your worship circles please use ringtones that others will enjoy even during times of distraction, lest you regret it later.

Emergency Calls
Place your phone on vibrate with no ringtones. If you get the important call and excuse yourself quietly and take the call outside the place. If your vibrator is loud or can be measured in horsepower, you wanna put that sucker in silent mode. Don't shake what you're Momma gave you!

If can't resist using your cell phone or you're just a wireless addict get ready to be the brunt of silence seekers. These simple steps should put things into perspective. Amen!
